Pueblo, CO – Pueblo Fire Department responded to a commercial building fire at the corner of Northern Avenue and Abriendo Avenue, where crews worked through high temperatures while battling heavy smoke conditions inside the structure.
According to officials, firefighters arrived to find significant smoke in the basement of the building, which was rapidly spreading and affecting all floors. Crews initiated an immediate coordinated response, conducting a search for occupants while advancing on the fire.
Firefighters located the seat of the fire and successfully extinguished it before it could spread further throughout the structure. A search of the building confirmed that no individuals were inside at the time of the incident.
No injuries were reported among occupants or responding firefighters. Crews remained on scene to assist with ventilation and overhaul operations aimed at clearing smoke and ensuring the fire was fully extinguished.
Authorities stated that an investigation is underway to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
