Pueblo police unveil new Polaris UTV to patrol river bottom and hard-to-reach areas

Pueblo, CO – The Pueblo Police Department has officially put a new Polaris UTV into service after the vehicle was donated to the department by the Pueblo Police Foundation.

The UTV was donated several months ago, but the department recently completed the vehicle’s new Pueblo Police graphics wrap, officially preparing it for duty.

The department said the vehicle will serve as an important new resource for its DICE Unit, giving officers greater access to Pueblo’s river bottom and other areas that can be difficult to reach using traditional patrol vehicles.

With the added mobility, officers will be able to more effectively patrol the river corridor, respond to incidents and address criminal activity and quality-of-life concerns in areas where standard patrol vehicles may have difficulty operating.

The Pueblo Police Department credited the Pueblo Police Foundation and several community partners for helping make the new patrol vehicle possible.

The department specifically thanked Strictly Powersports, Savage Powersports, High-Res Imaging and Creative Auto, along with the donors who contributed to the project.

Police said continued community investment provides officers with additional tools to serve Pueblo more safely and effectively.

The department described the new UTV as an “incredible asset” for the DICE Unit and said it is grateful to the Pueblo Police Foundation and community members who supported the project.
