Pueblo, CO – The Pueblo Police Department arrested a woman following an armed robbery incident reported in Pueblo.
On May 20, 2026, at approximately 7:17 p.m., dispatch received a call for an armed robbery in the 1100 block of Bonforte Blvd in Pueblo.
Officers responded after it was reported that a woman left a store with unpaid merchandise and used pepper spray on employees during the incident.
Officers later located the suspect nearby and identified her as Ilysia Chavez, age 38. She was taken into custody without further incident.
The woman was arrested and is being charged with aggravated robbery. The investigation remains ongoing, according to the Pueblo Police Department.
