Pueblo, CO – The Pueblo Fire Department recently spoke with middle school students about careers in the fire service during a career fair at Heaton Middle School.
Firefighters discussed both the rewards and challenges of working as a firefighter in Pueblo, also known as Steel City, while meeting with students interested in learning about future career opportunities.
According to the school, the career fair connected students with community partners representing a variety of professions, including medical, law, beauty, law enforcement, manufacturing, and other career fields.
Representatives also shared information about the education and credentials needed for different professions.
The event was organized by Advocate Anna Hancock.
Pueblo Fire Department thanked the Heaton staff for hosting what officials described as a successful event for students exploring future career paths.
