Pueblo, CO -Pueblo County officials, along with community partners, delivered bicycles to students at Columbian Elementary School and Avondale Elementary School during a donation event aimed at supporting local families.
On Thursday, May 28, Commissioner Zach Swearingen joined Clerk and Recorder Candace Rivera and staff members to distribute the bicycles.
The effort followed several months of collection by the Clerk and Recorder’s Office, which gathered both new and gently used bikes for children in the community.
The initiative was designed to provide transportation, recreation, and encouragement for students while also reinforcing community engagement across Pueblo County departments and residents.
Officials noted that the donation effort reflected ongoing collaboration between county offices and local schools to support youth and strengthen community ties.
