COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Despite intermittent rain showers on Sunday, the annual Territory Days festival pressed on, drawing crowds to celebrate the rich history of Old Colorado City.
The three-day event, held over the Memorial Day weekend, offers attendees a diverse mix of food, drinks, live music, and a variety of vendors showcasing local crafts and goods. Small rides and the popular gold panning activity add to the family-friendly atmosphere.
Even as raindrops fell, the streets remained bustling with visitors, many of whom came prepared with raincoats and umbrellas. Festival-goers continued to enjoy the event’s offerings without letting the weather dampen their spirits.
Monday marks the final day of the Memorial Day tradition, with the festival open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Organizers hope for clearer skies as they wrap up this beloved community celebration.
