Man with Multiple Warrants Arrested for Motorcycle Theft in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A 19-year-old man with several outstanding felony warrants was arrested Thursday evening after police caught him riding a stolen motorcycle, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

Officers spotted the stolen motorcycle near the intersection of East Fountain Boulevard and South Chelton Road shortly before 7:45 p.m. Surveillance efforts by CSPD detectives led them to the 2500 block of Weston Road, near South Circle Drive and Hancock Expressway, where they apprehended the suspect.

The man was identified as Jacob Rusnic, who was already wanted on multiple felony warrants, including one related to motor vehicle theft. Authorities also noted that Rusnic was out on bond for a domestic violence charge at the time of his arrest.

Following his apprehension, Rusnic was transported to the Criminal Justice Center, where he faces an additional charge of motor vehicle theft.

The investigation remains ongoing.
