Pueblo, CO – At approximately 7:25 p.m. on Saturday, April 5, the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) responded to an urgent call regarding an unconscious woman at a residence located on the 800 block of Yuma Street.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered the woman was unresponsive, and medical personnel from the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) confirmed her death. Authorities have not released the identity of the woman at this time.
During their investigation, officers spoke with a man at the residence, who reportedly admitted to being involved in a verbal and physical altercation with the woman prior to her death. Based on this information, the CSPD Homicide Unit took over the investigation, and the man was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder.
The names of both the man and woman involved in the incident have not been publicly disclosed as the investigation continues.
