COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Colorado Springs is preparing for a grand celebration in honor of St. Patrick’s Day, with a variety of events that promise fun for all ages. News 5 is proudly sponsoring the 41st Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at noon. The parade is expected to draw a large crowd as it marches along Tejon Street from East St. Vrain Street to Vermijo Avenue.
The parade, one of the largest in Colorado Springs, will feature a lively mix of floats, marching bands, and local organizations, creating a festive atmosphere for the entire community. Parade-goers are advised to arrive early, as parking spots along the parade route tend to fill up quickly.
For those looking to add a bit more excitement to their St. Patrick’s Day, several other activities will take place earlier in the day. Fitness enthusiasts can take part in the St. Patrick’s Day 5K race, which will start at 10 a.m. and follow the same parade route along Tejon Street. Registration is open, with an early registration fee of $40 until March 15, or $45 on race day. Prizes for top finishers include the Corporate Cup and the Four Leaf Clover Four-Pack, with additional details available on the event’s website.
Children also have a chance to join in the celebration with the Leprechaun Fun Run, which begins at 11 a.m. The race will feature a half-mile route for younger children and a one-mile course for older participants. Parents are encouraged to register their children ahead of time, as each participant will receive a shirt and bib. Registration is $12, and bibs and shirts must be picked up at the St. Paddy’s Sports Expo on Friday, March 14, between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.
