Two Arrested in Colorado Springs Shooting Incident

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Two individuals were arrested following a shooting incident in the Sand Creek area, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD). Authorities responded to reports of gunfire at a business located in the 2500 block of Delta Drive on January 30.

Upon arrival, police discovered that two suspects had fired shots from the parking lot into the business, narrowly missing the individuals inside. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. CSPD officials immediately began gathering details about the suspects’ vehicle and broadcasted this information to patrol officers.

Detectives later identified the vehicle and provided updated location details to law enforcement. The driver of the vehicle was identified as 20-year-old Christian Zamora of Colorado Springs. Zamora was apprehended on Tuesday, February 3, by the Tactical Enforcement Unit (TEU), the Assault Unit, and the Anti-Violence Operations Unit (AVOU).

A second suspect, a 14-year-old resident of Colorado Springs, was arrested the following day, February 4.

Both suspects now face multiple charges, including attempted murder, criminal mischief, and theft. CSPD stated that the investigation is ongoing as the Assault Unit continues to lead the case.

This arrest marks a significant step in ensuring public safety, as authorities work to hold the suspects accountable for their actions.
