Shooting in Colorado Springs Leaves One Injured, Suspect Still at Large

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — One person was injured in a shooting late Wednesday night in Colorado Springs, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department.

Police responded to the Pine Crest Apartments, located near North Academy Boulevard and East La Salle Street, just south of Constitution Road, around 10:17 p.m. After arriving at the scene, officers learned that the victim, a man, had been shot at a different location. He drove himself back to his home, where he called 911 for assistance.

Emergency medical personnel arrived shortly after the call, transporting the man to a nearby hospital. Authorities confirmed he was treated and later released from the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As of Thursday morning, police have not yet located the original location of the shooting and are continuing to investigate the incident. Officers also stated that they are actively searching for the suspect involved.
