Pueblo Police Uncover Illegal Gambling Operations in Recent Raid

PUEBLO, CO — In a coordinated operation on April 5, the Pueblo Police Department’s Special Investigation Division executed two search warrants at local businesses suspected of engaging in illegal gambling activities. The businesses targeted were the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, located on Elmhurst Place, and U Lucky Dog on Pueblo Boulevard.

At the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, authorities discovered a total of 11 gambling machines. Alongside the machines, law enforcement recovered over $40,000 in cash. In addition to the machines and funds, police cited eight individuals for involvement in electronic gambling.

The second location, U Lucky Dog, was also found to be operating illicit gambling machines. Detectives seized 28 gambling machines and recovered more than $12,000 in cash. One individual was cited for electronic gambling at this establishment.

These raids are part of a continued effort by the Pueblo Police Department to crack down on illegal gambling in the community. Authorities have not indicated whether further arrests or actions will be taken but have made it clear that such illegal activities will not be tolerated in the area.

Both businesses are now under investigation, and police are expected to follow up with additional enforcement if necessary. The Pueblo Police Department is urging residents to report any similar suspicious activity to assist in ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and legality of local businesses.
