Pueblo, CO – The Pueblo Police Department issued a warning on January 2 after receiving reports of phone calls claiming to be from the department and requesting donations.
Officials confirmed that neither the Pueblo Police Department nor other law enforcement agencies solicit donations over the phone.
Residents who receive such calls are advised to hang up immediately and report the incident.
Police also recommended contacting local law enforcement directly using official contact information to verify the legitimacy of any suspicious calls.
