Manitou Springs Police Seek Public’s Help in Burglary Attempt at Pikes Peak RV Park

Manitou Springs, Colo. — The Manitou Springs Police Department is requesting assistance from the public in identifying two individuals involved in an attempted burglary at the Pikes Peak RV Park.

The incident occurred shortly after 4:30 a.m. on May 19, when the suspects entered the laundry facility located on Manitou Avenue. According to police, surveillance footage shows the suspects attempting to break into a coin-operated machine using a power drill. The effort was unsuccessful, and the suspects fled the scene without taking any property.

RV park managers discovered the damage later that morning, noting metal shavings and tool marks on the machine. Authorities believe the two suspects are associated with a white Chevrolet Equinox, although no license plate information was captured during the incident.

The Manitou Springs Police Department is asking anyone with information about the suspects or the vehicle to contact El Paso County dispatch at (719) 390-5555.
