PUEBLO, Colo. — A man was airlifted to a hospital Wednesday evening after being struck by a BNSF train in Pueblo, authorities reported. The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. near the railroad tracks.
The Pueblo Fire Department confirmed that BNSF personnel called 9-1-1 after the collision. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among the train’s crew or passengers. However, the man involved in the incident, whose identity has not yet been released, sustained life-threatening injuries.
Emergency responders quickly arrived on the scene and determined that the victim required urgent medical attention. He was airlifted to a hospital in Colorado Springs for treatment.
