COLORADO SPRINGS, CO — A deadly crash occurred Wednesday evening at the intersection of North Academy Boulevard and North Carefree Circle on the northeast side of Colorado Springs. According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), the incident took place around 8:30 p.m. and involved a truck and a motorcycle.
At this time, the exact cause of the crash remains unclear. The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene. The El Paso County Coroner’s Office is expected to release the name of the deceased at a later time.
CSPD officials reported that the southbound lanes of North Academy Boulevard at the intersection will be closed for several hours as investigators work to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash. Drivers are advised to avoid the area and find alternate routes.
