Colorado Springs, Colo. – Colorado Springs firefighters responded swiftly to a dumpster fire behind a Circle K convenience store on Sunday morning, preventing the blaze from spreading to nearby structures.
The fire broke out behind the store located at the corner of North Academy and Bijou Street, where emergency responders arrived to find the dumpster fully engulfed in flames and a large plume of smoke rising into the sky. Despite the fire’s proximity to an air-vac station and several small structures on the property, the fire department was able to contain the flames and prevent further damage.
Firefighters worked diligently to control the blaze, and no injuries were reported, either to first responders or members of the public. As of this time, the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
