COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has recovered a vehicle involved in a fatal crash that occurred last month on Interstate 25. Authorities are continuing their investigation and are working to identify the driver responsible for leaving the scene.
According to CSPD, officers executed a search warrant at an undisclosed location in El Paso County, where they seized a white Dodge Charger. The vehicle had been a significant point of interest in the case, as it was linked to the crash but fled the scene shortly after the incident.
The fatal crash occurred on I-25 last month, prompting an immediate response from law enforcement. Despite efforts to locate the driver, they were initially unsuccessful. However, with the recent recovery of the Dodge Charger, investigators are hopeful that the vehicle will provide crucial evidence leading to the identification of the driver.
