Colorado Springs, Colo. — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has issued a public notification regarding Ancus Marcius Hoffar Bone, a registered Sexually Violent Predator (SVP) currently residing in the city.
Bone, 38, is a white male standing 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing approximately 185 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He is on supervised release and probation and has registered as homeless at the area of 5 West Las Vegas Street in Colorado Springs.
According to CSPD records, Bone has a criminal history that includes multiple convictions across El Paso and Arapahoe counties. His convictions include felony menacing and third-degree assault in 2016, as well as sexual assault and sexual contact without consent in 2025 in El Paso County. In Arapahoe County, Bone was convicted of third-degree assault in 2019.
Bone is one of 21 registered Sexually Violent Predators currently monitored by the Colorado Springs Police Department.
In adherence to Colorado state law, CSPD has taken several measures to ensure community awareness and safety. The department has notified the Colorado Department of Public Safety’s Sex Offender Management Board (SOMB) Notification Team and confirmed Bone’s residence, employment, vehicle access, and legal status. Additionally, neighbors and local businesses in the immediate area have been informed, and patrol personnel have been briefed on Bone’s history and identifying details. Surrounding law enforcement agencies have also been alerted.
CSPD has provided an online video resource explaining the SVP community notification process, offering further information and resources to the public.
