Pueblo, CO — Colorado Pint Day, an annual fundraiser organized by the Colorado Brewers Guild, returned this Wednesday for its 10th year, bringing together beer enthusiasts and local breweries across the state. The event serves as a way to support and promote Colorado’s vibrant craft beer industry, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Guild’s efforts.
Throughout the day, participating breweries sold custom pint glasses, with $1 from each glass sold being donated to the Colorado Brewers Guild. The organization uses the funds to further its mission of advancing and supporting the state’s craft brewing community.
News5 visited Urban Animal Brewery in Colorado Springs, where customers eagerly lined up to purchase the limited-edition glasses. Blake Beckstrom, the brewery’s manager, spoke about the event’s growing popularity. “It’s kind of a cult following now,” Beckstrom said. “I know people who actually take the day off from work just to come in and get a glass. Some places sell out in an hour, some places sell out in a day.”
This year’s custom pint glasses featured artwork inspired by Colorado’s iconic wildlife, including the infamous Blucifer, the horse statue that stands outside Denver International Airport. The designs have become a beloved tradition, with many collectors marking their calendars to ensure they don’t miss out.
As the event continues to grow, Colorado Pint Day has solidified its place as a staple in the state’s craft beer culture, uniting communities and raising funds to help sustain the industry for years to come.
