COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — One person was injured Monday afternoon after a vehicle crashed into a building along South 8th Street, according to the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD).
The incident occurred around 4 p.m. just northeast of Cheyenne Mountain High School. Emergency crews responded to the scene quickly and confirmed that one individual sustained injuries as a result of the crash. The condition of the injured person has not been publicly released.
It is currently unclear what caused the vehicle to veer off the roadway and into the building. Firefighters worked to assess structural damage and ensure the safety of the area while first responders provided medical attention.
